Why put yourself at risk?

Even when properly used to treat ADHD, Adderall comes with the risk of being highly addictive. Other side effects include insomnia, stomachaches, headaches, and anorexia. When abused, Adderall can have the same stimulating qualities that cocaine has. Adderall has also been shown as a cause of cardiovascular death. Even when prescribed, warnings are given to patients about the potential danger the drugs could have. When taken, they cause an increased heart rate and can make users extremely anxious. With a high always comes a low, and the crash from this drug is extreme. This crash also makes the drug have severe emotional side effects. Adderall causes a high which can create a feeling of euphoria, but afterwards it can leave students feeling extremely depressed.

By taking Adderall, students aren't only putting their health at risk, but are also compromising their ability to be independent from the drug itself. We are starting to see these drugs enter the professional world as the current generation of college graduates are beginning to enter the workforce. One can even argue that in terms of future success, college students have the most to lose.
